He estado algunos días en Luxemburgo y visitado algunos lugares interesantes para los amantes de historia y militaría. Espero que os guste un reportaje corto.
Primer día he visitado el centro memorial en Bastogne.

Sobre 10 km lejos del centro memorial se encuentra un museo pequeño, pero en lunes el museo fue cerrado. Dentro del museo hay un hetzer.
Luego pondré las fotos de otros lugares.

Otro día he visitado dos cementerios militares. Ambos cementerios están en Sandweiler, un lugar en Luxemburgo. Lamentablemente, en mismo día cuando he estado en Sandweiler el Congreso de EEUU no logró acordar sobre el presupuesto y el cementerio fue cerrado para los visitantes. He hecho algunas fotos fuera del cementerio. En este cementerio está la tumba de general Patton.
Otro cementerio es alemán. Este cementerio se encuentra sobre 2-3 kilómetros lejos de cementerio de EEUU.

Verdun y sus campos de batalla son impresionantes, yo he estado dos veces y se lo recomiendo a cualquier aficionado a la historia militar. La carnicería que se vivió ahí no tiene nombre, ríete del desembarco de Normandía.....

Junto con normandia Verdun es un viaje que tengo hacer tarde lo que tarde,Verdun es la segunda batalla mas sangrienta de la IGM la primera es summe en esta batalla se habla de mas de un millon de bajas en los dos bandos y una batalla inutil ya que quedaron en tablas en la batalla pero tuvo mas consecuencia al ejercito aleman ya que vio imposible remplazar a las tropas en calidad y veterania

El monumento que tiene posición dominante en el cementerio. En las partes laterales del monumento están enterados 130.000 soldados.

Hace tres semanas que estoy divorciado y este viaje fue algo para mi alma, como decimos aquí en Serbia. ;) No tengo los niños.

Existe un espacio donde se encuentran las flores y una cruz blanca quien marca lugar donde fallecieron muchos soldados. Probablemente se trata de hecho que mencionas.

Me suena que se tapió directamente debido al número de muertos, creo que estalló un polvorín dentro de la fortaleza, las fotos eran horribles!!!! Seguramente sea donde está esa cruz.

Hola !, la foto que ha puesto el compañero Orao corresponde a donde cayó una granada francesa de 400mm matando a 30 alemanes. Aquí pongo la foto que saqué yo el año pasado, como se ve es el mismo sitio:

El sitio donde se tapió es este, detrás de la pared hay 679 soldados alemanes por la explosión de un depósito de granadas, con permiso de Orao pongo otra foto mía:

Muchas gracias tanto a Orao como Mallorca 13 por las fotos. Este tipo de lugares y fotos transmiten muchísimo.
He de recuperar las fotos que tengo del campo de concentración de Sachsenhausen, en Oranienburg, y compartirlas para los que no hayáis estado allí.

Mira que he visitado museos navales por Europa y el de Madrid es el mejor de todos.
